The previous screening questionnaire (scale) for the psychological health status of a large sample population lacked specific interpersonal orientation. This achievement predicts mental health from the perspective of measuring multiple types of interpersonal characteristics simultaneously. The questionnaire consists of four dimensions (affection, indifference, independence, and compliance), with 26 items, measuring three types of interpersonal dynamics (teacher-student relationships, peer relationships, and parent-child relationships). The results of its administration in a large sample of five universities in Shanghai have proven its effectiveness in predicting mental health status and suggest potential for application to other similar types of interpersonal relationships. Currently, a computer-based online testing system has been developed within the new student psychological test system at Tongji University. Among them, teacher-student relationships correspond to an individual's relationship with authority or leadership, peer relationships correspond to an individual's relationships with colleagues and friends, while parent-child relationships can correspond to an individual's future close family relationships. Each individual lives in a coexisting, multi-faceted interpersonal relationship environment. The advantage of this questionnaire is that it uses the same set of questions to test three types of relationships with different natures efficiently and saves time. It helps to systematically and holistically measure an individual's interpersonal environment and further predict their mental health level. At the same time, it can point out specific directions for intervention strategies.
