The photoelectric conversion efficiency of solar cells is one of the important parameters for evaluating their performance. The highest conversion efficiency in foreign laboratories has reached 24.8%, while the highest domestic efficiency is 19.79%. To improve the performance of solar cells, it is necessary to enhance their conversion efficiency. The main reason for the loss of solar cell conversion efficiency is due to the reflection of light on the surface, where not all sunlight can be incident upon the solar cell, resulting in a low generation rate of electron-hole pairs. Reducing reflection thus becomes an important approach to increasing the photoelectric conversion efficiency of solar cells. Tongji University has researched methods to prepare anti-reflective coatings outside the photovoltaic panels of solar cells to increase the solar conversion efficiency. The deposition of anti-reflective films is one of the main directions of research on the application of nanoporous materials by related research groups, with nearly a decade of technical accumulation. The related achievements have been used in national laser weapons. Based on the above foundation and advantages, by applying a silicon dioxide anti-reflective film, the overall photoelectric conversion efficiency of the battery can be significantly improved.
