Introduction to the Results: Noise control and management of air conditioning ducts within building facilities are important issues not only for the quality of daily life but also for industrial noise pollution. It is particularly crucial to obtain a relatively ideal design scheme at the beginning of specific engineering construction. Traditional air conditioning duct design work often involves consulting numerous tables and calculating based on complex formulas to determine the natural attenuation and re-generated noise levels of each component. Finally, all the attenuation and re-generated noise amounts from the various duct components are unified to derive the overall noise prediction for the entire air conditioning system. This process is tedious, prone to errors due to extensive table lookup and formula calculations, and difficult to review, leading to longer design cycles and lower efficiency. Additionally, since many tables and formulas have limited applicability conditions, the emergence of new materials makes it challenging to find corresponding relationships in existing tables. This inevitably leads to a high risk of errors in the design scheme, making it difficult to control the noise from air conditioning ducts. In response to the above situation, we have developed an air conditioning duct noise prediction system called NoiseExpress. Firstly, it digitizes a large number of reference tables and formulates equations into programs. Designers only need to input the structural specifications and physical composition between each unit component of the air conditioning duct through the corresponding program controls, and ultimately obtain the noise control results for the entire duct. At the same time, this system integrates a wealth of actual measurement data from various unit components of air conditioning ducts such as elbows, tees, reducers, static pressure boxes, silencers, etc. The rich database provides scientific and realistic basis for duct design, component unit design, and simulation, greatly improving the accuracy of the design scheme. Technical indicators: 1. It can predict the noise levels of straight pipes, elbows, tees, reducers, static pressure boxes, The calculation of air sound loss and regeneration amount for silencers and other pipeline components such as rooms is programmed and digitized, eliminating the trouble of looking up charts and tables and a large amount of computation; 2. Modeling convenience: Only by selecting different components on the operation panel according to the actual pipeline engineering system, specifying the type and size parameters of the components, can a pipeline system model be established. 3. The database provides a wealth of measured data on the sound attenuation capacity of various types of silencers, silencer elbows, static pressure boxes, and silencer windows, providing reliable basis for users to select different types and sizes of silencing components. Application fields: Building acoustics HVAC pipe design; Design and optimization of silencers, static pressure boxes, elbows, and variable diameter pipes and other pipeline components.
