Providing travelers with real-time and accurate traffic status information services has become an important means to improve urban transportation. Compared to the limited coverage and high cost of fixed coil detection technology, floating car technology has the advantages of wide coverage, low application cost, and easy promotion. It is a commonly used dynamic traffic information collection technology in traffic information service systems in recent years. This system is based on the research results of national high-tech development plan (863) projects, uses the road network state estimation technology of floating car GPS data, conducts detailed analysis on the sending frequency and driving trajectory of GPS data, considers the OD characteristics of urban traffic travel, adopts the comprehensive evaluation value of real-time calculation results and historical data as the road's travel speed, and combines the functional use of roads to comprehensively predict the traffic status of roads, resulting in precise and reliable outcomes. Currently, this achievement has been applied in Shanghai, Nanjing, The actual application in cities such as Hangzhou has achieved good results.
