A phage rapid diagnostic kit for multidrug-resistant tuberculosis has been developed, which can simultaneously detect the resistance of clinical isolates of Mycobacterium tuberculosis and/or sputum specimens from patients with pulmonary tuberculosis to five anti-tuberculosis drugs (rifampicin, streptomycin, isoniazid, ethambutol, and pyrazinamide). The entire process takes only 3 days, which is 4 to 8 weeks shorter than conventional methods, and the diagnostic concordance rate with traditional methods exceeds 85%.
