With the development of urbanization in our country, the discharge of urban river silt and silt generated from the excavation of building foundation pits has increased dramatically. Currently, silt is mainly treated by dredging for land reclamation, production waste, and ocean dumping, posing a serious threat to the safety of the city and its surrounding environment. The rapid development of urban construction in China and the implementation of the energy-saving standard for buildings with an energy efficiency rate of 65% have led to an increased demand for energy-saving building materials, especially energy-saving clay-based building materials. However, the vast majority of cities in China have explicitly banned the use of land-produced clay energy-saving building materials. Therefore, this study adopts a new approach of using urban silt to replace traditional clay in the production of energy-saving and environmentally friendly building materials. This not only achieves the transformation of urban silt from simple treatment and low-efficiency utilization to high-efficiency resource utilization and energy saving and environmental protection, but also realizes efficient energy saving in Chinese construction and industrial energy conservation and emission reduction. It is also conducive to promoting sustainable urban development and the green revolution in the building materials industry. This project aims to address issues that have arisen in the industrialized large-scale application of existing research findings, focusing on key technical optimization studies for large-scale production. The main research contents include: safety performance evaluation technology for urban sludge, biomass fuel 100% substitution for coal direct combustion technology, technology for preparing energy-saving and insulation building materials from sintered sludge, production optimization technology for energy-saving and environmentally friendly bricks made from urban sludge, production optimization technology for lightweight ceramic granules fired from urban sludge, and industrial demonstration applications of energy-saving and insulation building materials. The goal is to provide technical support for the industrial application of energy-saving and insulation building materials made from urban sludge.
