The Outline of the National Medium and Long-term Science and Technology Development Plan (2006-2020) lists modern agricultural equipment technology as a priority theme in the field of agriculture. Modern agricultural equipment technology is an important material foundation for achieving sustainable development in agriculture and serves as an important guarantee for the strategic transformation of China's agricultural development in the new era. Agricultural equipment technology bears the heavy responsibility of ensuring food security and realizing high yield, quality, efficiency, and ecological sustainable development in agriculture. As an important agricultural device in southern China, the paddy field leveling machine helps to save irrigation water, suppress weed growth, and increase rice yields. Currently, traditional paddy field levelers have a single working posture adjustment, that is, they perform only one type of leveling action, which does not adapt to the diverse terrain of paddy fields. In response to the shortcomings of current paddy field levelers, based on preliminary research and pre-research at South China Agricultural University, a multi-degree-of-freedom paddy field leveling device has been proposed. Through this research, Provide a paddy field leveling device with a wide range of working areas, compact structure, and stable reliability. The device consists of ball joints and hydraulic cylinders forming a connecting rod mechanism, which is connected to the tractor through standard rear suspension. It can adjust the working posture of the leveling device to adapt to various different paddy field terrains.
