SiC ceramic reinforced Al-based composite materials possess excellent comprehensive properties such as high specific strength, high specific modulus, good thermal and electrical conductivity, and high dimensional stability, which have attracted widespread attention in civil industrial fields such as aviation, aerospace, and high-speed trains. They have broad application prospects. Currently, the mechanical and tribological properties of the networked SiC ceramic reinforced Al/Mg+Si+Ti-based composite material we have trial-produced are close to the indicators listed by the Ministry of Railways. Among them: the density of the networked SiC ceramic reinforced Al/Mg+Si+Ti-based composite material is 2.5 g/cm3, the yield strength is 400 MPa, the average compressive strength is 500 MPa, and the thermal conductivity is 150 W/(m·K).
