The "13th Five-Year Plan for the Construction of National Urban Domestic Waste Treatment Facilities" predicts that by 2020, the market size will reach 18.3 billion yuan. In January 2017, the "Guidance Catalog for Key Products and Services in Strategic Emerging Industries" included aerobic microbial treatment equipment for solid waste in the strategic emerging industry list. With the issuance of the notice on promoting garbage classification work in public institutions such as party and government organs and the "Shanghai School Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection '13th Five-Year' Plan," there will be an explosive growth in the industrialization demand for wet garbage biochemical treatment equipment. This product is a device that uses aerobic microbial technology to digest wet garbage. By combining the selected efficient microbial community with the developed intelligent fermentation chamber through integrated operation within the pot, more than 95% of the wet garbage can be reduced in volume within 24 hours, achieving resource utilization, harmlessness, and reduction goals simultaneously, reaching the leading level domestically. The research team has successfully developed a series of processing equipment with specifications ranging from 20 to 2000 kilograms, capable of intelligent single-machine or multi-machine combination operations. It has achieved stable operation under extreme weather conditions and can meet the market demand for decentralized treatment of wet waste at various scales in China. Currently, the product has obtained 10 independent intellectual property rights including intelligence, temperature control, and weight control. In April 2015, a 50-kilogram prototype was pilot-applied in the government cafeteria of Jiangqiao Town, Jiading District, where it has been operating for more than 800 days, accumulating a total of 28.4 tons of processed material. In March 2016, a 100-kilogram prototype confirmed the product's market access qualifications at the Shanghai Environmental Engineering Design Science Research Institute, where it has been operating for more than 500 days, accumulating a total of 17.4 tons of processed material. In December 2016, to verify its use under extreme conditions, The 100kg prototype set up by the China Polar Research Center of the National Oceanic Administration at Zhongshan Station in Antarctica has been operational for over 180 days, with a cumulative processing capacity of 5.5 tons. It has achieved remote control and is currently discussing the addition of another 100kg processing device at Changcheng Station in Antarctica with the China Polar Research Center of the National Oceanic Administration.
