Currently, the energy consumption of buildings in China accounts for about one-third of the total energy consumption. According to the latest data from the National Development and Reform Commission on energy projects, the energy consumption per unit area in our country is approximately 4-5 times that of developed countries for exterior walls and 2.5 times for roofs, and the comfort level is far inferior to others. The task of energy conservation and emission reduction in building construction remains very arduous in our country, with a significant development potential. Although there are currently higher demands for energy conservation and emission reduction in our country, comfort has still been overlooked. The hydrothermal synthesis method (wet firing) does not destroy the inherent micro-pore structure of soil and can generate new micro-pores as needed, making the material have better thermal insulation and moisture regulation effects. This study simulates the thermal insulation and moisture regulation characteristics of cave soil, utilizes basic materials such as loess for hydrothermal curing synthesis, and through the study of moisture regulation properties and formaldehyde adsorption properties of hydrothermal cured materials, as well as their modification to prepare new intelligent air conditioning building materials.
