Project Introduction: Through years of research on landfill sludge, it has been found that the landfill age in Shanghai area is 8 to 10 years or more, while in the northern region, it is over 10 to 15 years. The surface settlement rate is less than 10mm/a, the organic matter content in the garbage is less than 10%, and the moisture content is below 50%. The cation exchange capacity is high. Substances that are easily degradable have been completely or nearly completely degraded, and the garbage itself no longer produces leachate, landfill gas, or odors. At this point, the garbage is referred to as mineralized garbage. Research on the Loushang Port landfill site in Shanghai has shown that mineralized garbage with an 8 to 10-year landfill age, after being dug out and dried, emits a fresh scent of freshly turned soil without any other odors, and the leachate quality from the excavated unit also meets the third-level discharge standards, with the main organic matter being refractory humus. In terms of the external composition of garbage, apart from large pieces of plastic, broken glass, stones, Apart from animal bones, its fine granular part resembles soil, black in color, dispersed, with uniform particles, and has completely lost the characteristics of original domestic waste in terms of appearance. When considering mineralized waste as a biological medium filler, it will possess the ability to degrade leachate from waste and its high-concentration, refractory pollutants. Compared to general soil, mineralized waste has a large microbial population, strong respiration, high microbial and metabolic entropy, and is attached with a large amount of active enzymes. These oxidoreductases or hydrolases are highly active and adaptable, capable of rapidly catalyzing the degradation of pollutants and accelerating the living process. At the same time, mineralized waste has porous looseness, a large specific surface area, and is rich in humus, which are also the reasons why mineralized waste reactors have better treatment effects than leachate re-irrigated back into the system. Leachate from waste, especially from aged waste, has poor biodegradability, severely imbalanced carbon-nitrogen-phosphorus ratios, Belonging to the high nitrogen and low carbon type of water quality, it is difficult to be effectively treated by traditional biological methods; while physical and chemical methods are costly and produce secondary pollution, they are not suitable for countries and regions with lower economic levels. After mining mineralized garbage and using it as a new type of filler source for wastewater treatment, long-term research and analysis have found that mineralized sludge, after several years of stabilization, has a rich variety of microorganisms with a total count reaching 10^7. Moreover, the microorganisms within have undergone a long process of natural acclimatization, greatly enhancing their degradation capabilities for pollutants. Particularly, the biological utilization rate for refractory substances in leachate has been significantly improved, with removal rates for COD, BOD, NH3-N, and other indicators in the influent leachate reaching 90-99% upon discharge. Prospects: Currently, there are many domestic environmental protection companies that have started to enter the garbage leachate industry. The number of government-led landfill leachate projects has relatively decreased, and competition is becoming increasingly fierce. However, due to the complex composition and difficult treatment of garbage leachate, as well as the high professional requirements from the owners, many leachate, biogas slurry, and comprehensive wastewater projects are won through open market bidding, relying fully on the company's overall strength. The increase in leachate treatment capacity mainly depends on the new garbage disposal capacity, with an estimated space of about 7.5 billion yuan in the next 5 years: as the national planning requirements and standards for garbage disposal capacity increase, The market for garbage leachate has a strong demand. Considering the annual growth rate of 8% in harmless treatment capacity, it is estimated that over the next five years, there will be an additional need for about 120,000 tons per day of garbage leachate treatment capacity, with a market space of approximately 7.5 billion yuan.
