Based on the architectural sealant materials developed in the preliminary stage, research is conducted on the impact of material components and processes on the performance of architectural sealants to achieve optimized design; a testing method and evaluation index for architectural sealants are established using a self-designed device; the effects of environmental conditions and construction methods on the sealing performance of building components are studied to formulate construction technical regulations; applied technology economic analysis is conducted on the sealant materials. Through the aforementioned research, new types of architectural sealants suitable for building door and window joints and assembly building component splicing joints are obtained along with their supporting application technologies, laying the foundation for their promotion and use in construction projects. The new sealing materials have many advantages such as efficient and simple construction, excellent performance, and low cost. From a social benefit perspective, they can effectively solve the perennial problem of leakage in construction projects, help resolve social contradictions, and promote harmonious progress in society. From an economic perspective, the adoption of this technology will significantly improve construction efficiency, saving a considerable amount of labor costs. After sealing treatment, doors and windows as well as prefabricated component joints do not require additional waterproofing, which can save substantial material expenses. Additionally, by reducing the number of procedures, labor costs can be lowered, and the construction period can be shortened. Therefore, the overall cost of sealing treatment for building door and window joints and component joints is reduced after adopting this technology. From an environmental perspective, this material is green, energy-saving, and environmentally friendly. The cementitious material in the material uses a large amount of desulfurized gypsum, slag powder, and fly ash, which can absorb a significant amount of industrial waste and reduce environmental pollution caused by industrial waste residue, providing a new pathway for the resource utilization of industrial waste residue.
