The clutch of a car, as a key component of the vehicle's powertrain, serves to ensure smooth starting, seamless gear shifting, and prevent overload in the transmission system. Due to limitations such as design space, product weight, and manufacturing technology, it is recognized as an important part with high technical content and difficulty in production within the automotive industry. With the rapid development of China's automobile industry, there is an increasing demand for clutches, along with higher requirements. Domestic clutch companies face greater opportunities and challenges. Clutch design often relies on experience gained from long-term development, leading to inertia in initial product development. The resulting structures are conservative and performance similar, but they lack competitiveness when facing stringent technical environments or higher demands for driving comfort. Currently, companies that master international core clutch technologies mainly include Shuanghuan, Faurecia, etc. How to break through the monopoly of foreign core technologies is a significant issue. Becoming a difficult problem that domestic automotive clutch enterprises must face at present. With the support of Tongji University and the Shanghai Saxs Powertrain Components System Co., Ltd.'s industry-university-research cooperation project, by deeply tapping into the respective advantages of universities and enterprises, breaking away from traditional clutch design concepts, and developing a series of large-angle clutches suitable for new requirements, while also meeting the current needs of new energy vehicle development, we have designed and developed a wet double clutch suitable for use in hybrid powertrain systems, which has been applied in hybrid drive devices. The main work contents of this project include: 1. Designing and developing a new type of large-angle clutch driven disc vibration reduction device. The new large-angle torsion damper breaks away from conservative structural design concepts, featuring large working angles in both forward and reverse directions, multi-stage damping performance, etc. The multi-stage damping has its own independent pressure source and damping plates. The torsional damper parameters can be conveniently adjusted. The new large-angle clutch torsional damper can achieve the same damping effect as a dual-mass flywheel torsional damper, fundamentally optimizing the vibration and noise quality of the vehicle's power transmission system; 2. Design and develop a new type of wet dual-clutch. This wet dual-clutch uses diaphragm spring deformation to transmit the clamping force, which has a faster response speed during gear shifting compared to traditional hydraulic control transmission of clamping force, and the structure is easy to install, with good reliability and fatigue durability; The wet dual-clutch has an adjustable diaphragm spring lever ratio function, which can effectively match the powertrain system, achieve rapid gear shifting, and effectively reduce the impact caused during gear shifting. 3. Creatively develop a hybrid drive device based on a wet dual-clutch automatic transmission. The application of the dual-clutch design developed in this project to hybrid drive devices based on dual-clutch automatic transmissions allows for sixteen working modes of the hybrid system through the coordinated operation of wet dual clutches. This can effectively improve the vehicle's power, economy, and emissions performance. 4. Establish a comprehensive set of positive development design processes and methods for clutch products. Under the premise of meeting various performance requirements of the vehicle, with the goal of achieving the optimal vibration and noise quality of the vehicle's power transmission system, a comprehensive set of active design optimization processes for clutches is formed through a combination of virtual design methods and experimental verification. This can shorten the product development cycle and significantly reduce the research and development costs of clutches. Currently, this project has authorized 4 invention patents, 6 utility model patents, 3 invention patents that are under acceptance and substantive examination, published 11 main related academic papers. Obtained 4 national computer software copyrights. Through the industry-university-research cooperation projects of enterprises and universities, we actively promote the transformation of scientific and technological achievements. Clutch products are mainly matched with domestic vehicle and engine factories such as SAIC General Motors, Jiangling Automobile, SAIC General Wuling, Dong'an, etc. In the past three years, more than 120,000 sets of clutches for large-angle steering and hybrid power devices have been sold. In the past three years, the enterprise has added an additional output value of over 30 million yuan. The performance of clutch products designed and developed is highly praised by customers and has broad market application prospects.
