In the asphalt mixing process, using foamed asphalt instead of the traditional fluid form can greatly increase the contact area between the mixing aggregates and the binder asphalt, thereby improving the quality of the pavement and reducing the amount of asphalt material used. The key to this process is the asphalt foaming technology. The project plans to develop an asphalt foaming component for use in asphalt mixing plants based on the research foundation of the mechanism of asphalt foaming to achieve its industrialization. The existing research foundations include: a quantitative model of the asphalt foaming process using lattice Boltzmann self-organization modeling theory; an engineering evaluation method for the effective mixing zone performance of asphalt foaming; and research on the mapping relationship between the flow field of the foaming chamber and the effect of asphalt foaming. This study will be based on the existing research results to propose an optimized design scheme for the structure of the asphalt foaming chamber and the conditions for foaming. And comprehensively apply parametric design theory and three-dimensional design software to realize the parametric design of asphalt foaming components for asphalt mixing stations. Through the manufacturing and experimentation of asphalt foaming components, analyze and optimize the sensitivity of asphalt foaming conditions and parameters based on the evaluation of asphalt foaming performance, achieving the technical indicators required for industrialization. The research will provide necessary technical accumulation for the study of field cold recycling asphalt foaming modules, and the promotion of foam asphalt technology will have significant economic and social benefits in saving materials, reducing engineering investment, waste treatment, and environmental protection.
