This patented product is used in the coagulation (flocculation) process for water or wastewater treatment, to form micro-vortexes and a suspended sludge layer in the flocculation reaction zone. The micro-vortex flocculator has a hollow spherical structure with small holes on its surface (diameter and porosity), made of plastic and containing a small amount of materials that adjust density and enhance adsorption properties, with a specific gravity slightly greater than water. It is suitable for retrofitting and new construction of water plants, used in the coagulation treatment process, aiming to improve the quality or capacity of purified water. 1. With the improvement of national standards for drinking water quality and the aging of some water plant processes, it is estimated that about 20 million m3/d scale water plants need to be retrofitted annually in China. If only 25% adopt this technology, the annual profit can reach 15 million yuan; 2. Many new water plants are needed for the construction of county towns and new rural areas in China. Estimated at a scale of 10 million m3/d, if 25% adopt this technology, the annual profit can reach 7.5 million yuan; 3. The state attaches great importance to environmental protection, and a large number of wastewater treatment projects are built every year. Some projects require the use of physical-chemical processes, and it is estimated that by promoting this technology, profits exceeding 10 million yuan can be obtained annually.
