In the wastewater treatment processes of industries such as chemical, pharmaceutical, dyeing and printing, papermaking, and electroplating, a large amount of industrial sludge is generated. This sludge is characterized by containing many toxic and harmful substances, high levels of organic matter and heavy metals, and being difficult to degrade. Therefore, reducing the quantity, improving dehydration performance, and reducing toxicity are key points in the treatment of industrial sludge. Compared to other sludge treatment technologies, wet oxidation is more suitable for industrial sludge that poses significant hazards. The team has adopted catalytic wet oxidation technology for the research on industrial sludge disposal, which includes core technologies with independent intellectual property rights such as: multi-stage optimized process flow, high-efficiency and low-cost catalysts, efficient mass transfer reactor design, and corrosion-resistant reactor design.
