A high-end single-sheet paper printing press refers to a multi-color printing machine with high speed, high precision, and high efficiency. It is a complex structure of precision electromechanical equipment that reflects the technology and level of a country's cutting-edge manufacturing. At the beginning of this century, China became the fastest-growing market for printing presses. However, domestic single-sheet paper printing machines had low speed and efficiency, with high-end single-sheet paper printing presses exceeding 13,000 sheets per hour completely dependent on imports, priced at over 10 million yuan each, remaining high, and the core technology monopolized by a few countries such as Germany and Japan. The key issues that have troubled the research and development and manufacturing of high-end single-sheet paper printing presses are the control technologies for paper, ink volume, and printing processes under high speeds, as well as digital printing process technologies. This achievement, starting from national and industry strategic needs, has overcome a series of key technologies through nearly 10 years of joint efforts in academia, industry, and research, developed core devices with complete independent intellectual property rights, and produced high-end single-sheet paper printing presses. Successfully implemented industrialization. The innovative achievements are as follows: (1) Breakthrough in key technologies related to high-speed paper control, such as transmission, detection, and timing control, inventing high-speed paper conveying, transferring, and handover technology, developing a high-speed paper detection system combining fiber optic limit reflection and ultrasonic technology, achieving precise paper timing control, capable of accommodating more than 17,000 sheets/hour for single-sided printing and more than 15,000 sheets/hour for double-sided printing. (2) Breakthrough in key technologies such as high precision, strong real-time, and wide print width of ink layer control, developing the first set of domestic high-performance automatic ink volume control system, with an ink fountain roller's ink discharge accuracy reaching 0.002mm, ink volume control sampling time less than 2ms, and print width adaptable to 2000mm. (3) Overcoming high-precision printing process control involving automatic registration, gap adjustment, tail deformation, Key technologies such as ink balance have been developed, including a cylinder arrangement structure adapted to thick paper printing and minimizing the number of paper transitions, an offset adjustment device that does not rely on cylinder inclination adjustments, an infinitely adjustable tooth pad height technology, and a paper tail deformation pre-deformation technology, achieving a registration accuracy of 0.007mm. A mathematical model for ink balance has been established, solving the automatic regulation problem of ink under different printing speeds and colors. (4) Key technologies such as printing machinery characteristic matching, fault diagnosis, network control, etc., have been overcome. A digital, networked, intelligent printing process system that complies with CIP3/CIP4 international standards and supports a unified management architecture for printing enterprises has been developed. This system can achieve full automation of the entire printing operation process and significantly improve printing efficiency. This achievement has been authorized with 5 Chinese invention patents, 43 utility model patents, and 16 software copyright registrations, forming 3 national standards. 2 industry standards, 1 written work, 39 published papers. Applied for 8 Chinese invention patents, 1 American invention patent, submitted 1 national standard and 5 industry standards for review. The series of printing machines using this achievement have been honored with titles such as National Key New Products, National Independent Innovation Products, and Green Equipment Awards. Third-party evaluations show that the comprehensive technology of this achievement has reached an international advanced level, with some technical indicators at the international leading level. By 2012, this achievement had been selected by 18 large-scale printing machine manufacturing enterprises in China and applied in about ninety percent of single-sheet paper high-end printing machine manufacturing enterprises. Since 2008, this achievement has also been used by foreign well-known printing machine manufacturing enterprises. More than a thousand printing enterprises have adopted this achievement, which has been exported to countries such as Japan, Russia, South Africa, and Brazil. Shanghai Guanghua has grown into the largest single-sheet paper high-end printing machine R&D and manufacturing base in China, while Shanghai Huatai has become the largest professional supplier of printing machine control systems and devices in China. This achievement fills a domestic gap, forcing the import price of foreign single-sheet paper high-end printing machines to significantly decrease. The market share of domestically produced single-sheet paper high-end printing machines is rising year by year and they have entered the international market, resulting in significant direct and indirect economic benefits. The application of this achievement has greatly promoted the improvement of print quality and efficiency, reduced material waste, and lowered costs, leading China's printing industry towards green printing and advancing the technological progress of Chinese printing machines and the entire printing industry as a whole.
