In the diagnosis and treatment of lung diseases, lesion localization is crucial. Currently, there are two methods for locating pulmonary nodules: CT-guided percutaneous puncture and magnetic navigation bronchoscopy. The former involves patients receiving a high dose of CT radiation and requires a long training period for the operator; the latter is time-consuming and expensive, making it unsuitable for widespread use. This study has developed a 3D printed guide plate to assist in the percutaneous localization of lung nodules, which is simple to operate, accurate in localization, and does not require specialized equipment. It greatly optimizes the clinical diagnosis and treatment of lung lesions and is suitable for promotion in a wide range of grassroots hospitals. The design and manufacturing process of the 3D printed guide plate have been perfected and are now protected by patent application. In the preliminary research and development process, a clinical pilot experiment (16 patients) has been conducted. The related results have been published in the authoritative journal of thoracic and cardiovascular surgery. A prospective multicenter randomized clinical trial for this product is currently underway, with 80 cases enrolled to date.
