I. Project Introduction China generates over 200 million tons of urban domestic waste each year, with an annual growth rate of about 8%-10%. It is expected to reach 250 million tons by 2020. The harmless treatment capacity for urban domestic waste in China has been increasing year by year, with official data showing that the harmlessness rate of domestic waste in large and medium-sized cities exceeded 90% in 2016. However, in rural areas of China, the harmlessness rate is only 60%. Waste management faces issues such as land occupation, resource waste, and environmental pollution. Currently, the main method of urban waste management in China is still landfilling, but energy utilization technologies represented by incineration technology are growing rapidly. These technologies come with defects such as high equipment investment, production of strong carcinogens and highly toxic substances, heavy metal pollution, and insufficient process optimization, urgently requiring exploration of alternative methods. This technology utilizes the principle of gasification melting technology to reduce the volume and weight of waste, with a reduction in volume by more than 90% after treatment. Significantly reduce the pressure on landfills. Gasification and melting technology truly achieves harmless treatment of waste, can achieve ultra-low emissions of dioxins and heavy metal pollutants, has significantly better environmental performance than current incineration technology, eliminates public resistance, and is easy to promote. Second, technological innovation and leadership: 1. Targeting the characteristics of China's garbage: high moisture content, complex composition, low calorific value. 2. Organic combination of pre-treatment technologies for garbage: extrusion dehydration, screening, sorting. 3. Fully utilize the residual heat, gas, and slag generated during the gasification and melting process to ensure the economic efficiency of the treatment process. 4. Through systematic process optimization and a combination of various environmental protection technologies, ensure that the treatment process is environmentally friendly. 5. Dioxin emission value <0.05-0.005ng-TEQ/Nm3, The heavy metal leaching rate of slag is significantly lower than the new national standard of 0.1 ngTEQ/Nm3 for heavy metals in slag. 6. The indicators for heavy metal leaching rate in slag are within 1/10 of the national standard. 7. The emissions of pollutants such as sulfur, chlorine, and nitrogen all meet the national standards. III. Market Prospect and Application During the '13th Five-Year Plan' period, China's total investment in environmental protection will exceed 17 trillion yuan, with an investment of 4 trillion yuan in the solid waste treatment industry. According to statistical yearbooks: In 2018, the country generated about 230 million tons of urban garbage; the annual growth rate is 4%-5%. Taking a waste treatment facility with a processing capacity of 100t/d as an example, there is at least a demand for more than 2,000 sets of gasification melting devices for garbage. Among the 668 large and medium-sized cities nationwide and 2,856 county-level units, assuming that each city needs an average of 2 waste treatment facilities, On average, each county needs 0.5 waste treatment facilities. Excluding the existing 627 waste treatment facilities nationwide, there is still a need for more than 2,000 additional sets of waste treatment facilities. Assuming the cost of waste treatment is about 180 yuan, the subsidy for treatment is about 120 yuan, and the electricity generation per ton of waste is about 550 kilowatt-hours/ton, with an electricity price of about 0.65 yuan/kilowatt-hour, and the device operates 330 days a year, a daily processing capacity of 100 tons of garbage gasification and fly ash melting project can generate an annual income of about 9.68 million yuan. The investment cost can be recovered in about 4 years. The investment recovery period for existing waste incineration projects generally ranges from 8 to 10 years. However, as the scale of the equipment increases, the power generation efficiency and unit investment cost per ton will further decrease, which can further shorten the investment recovery period.
