This book belongs to the field of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine. The 'Six-Step Milk Knot Dilation Technique' is a set of treatment methods created by Director Zhao Chunying for lactation congestion during breastfeeding. This technique combines Western anatomical, physiological knowledge with Traditional Chinese Medicine meridian theory and massage mechanics. It has been clinically applied for over eight years, curing more than 18,000 patients with milk congestion, achieving an effective rate of 100% and a cure rate of 98.83%, without any adverse reactions. The treatment technique has been published in the monograph 'Zhao Chunying's Six-Step Milk Knot Dilation', which provides detailed information on the technical key points of the 'Six-Step Milk Knot Dilation Technique', as well as the mechanisms of milk congestion formation, common complications, and breastfeeding misconceptions. It also analyzes and answers questions related to milk congestion encountered in clinical practice. The book is rich in content, easy to understand with both text and illustrations, and is highly practical and instructive. The first edition was issued in 20,000 copies. Welcomed by a wide range of medical personnel and pregnant women, it has not only become a breastfeeding bible for lactating mothers but also a guidebook for breast specialists and primary care doctors in treating galactostasis. In addition, this book has been recorded on a popular science CD-ROM along with a set of supporting books, becoming the training material for the Shanghai Appropriate Technology Promotion Project; its paper was first included in SCI, bringing traditional Chinese medicine appropriate technology to the international stage. Nine papers were published in professional core journals, and one national patent was obtained. This therapeutic technique has been actively promoted by its inventor, reaching deep into grassroots levels and traveling across 18 districts and counties of Shanghai, as well as communities in Hubei, Yunnan, Xinjiang, and other provinces and cities. More than 3,000 primary care medical personnel have been trained, all of whom have successfully carried out their work and achieved good results. The 'Six-Step Milk Knot Dissolution Method' has successively won the National 'Third Prize for Appropriate Technology Demonstration'. International "Traditional Chinese Medicine Appropriate Technology Exhibition Award First Prize" and Shanghai Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Science and Technology Award Popular Science Award. In 2010, it was rated as a "Pudong New Area Advantageous Traditional Chinese Medicine Technology Project"; in 2011, the Shanghai Health Bureau funded it as a "Traditional Chinese Medicine Scientific Research Fund Project"; in 2012, it was named "Shanghai Traditional Chinese Medicine Appropriate Technology," and in 2013, it was included in the "Shanghai Traditional Chinese Medicine Industry Development Three-Year Action Plan" for application and promotion; in 2014, it was selected as part of the Shanghai Health and Family Planning Commission's Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine "Master-Apprentice" project; in 2015, it was designated by the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine to compile the "Six Steps Milk Stasis Dilation Method Intervention Practice Guidelines for Galactostasis"; that same year, the Shanghai Health and Family Planning Commission funded it as a "Policy Type Project for Building Preventive Healthcare Service System for Disease Prevention." This technique has been referred to by many young mothers on online platforms as 'miraculous' and 'magical therapeutic effects.' Several newspapers and magazines have reported on it, and multiple news media have conducted special interviews. The book not only reflects the concept of prevention in traditional Chinese medicine but also meets the needs of healthy living for a large number of pregnant women and infants, making it of great practical significance.
