I. The scientific and technological field of the project: This project belongs to the field of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) in internal medicine. II. Main Content: This research team has long been engaged in clinical and basic research on the prevention and treatment of chronic hepatitis B (CHB) with traditional Chinese medicine. Relying on the 'Eleventh Five-Year' National Infectious Diseases Science and Technology Major Project, through large-sample clinical research conducted by 12 research centers nationwide, the team identified the TCM pathogenesis characteristics and inflammatory grading features of mild CHB (ALT 1-2×ULN upper limit). Based on this, a combined Chinese and Western medicine treatment plan was established. The serum conversion rate of hepatitis B e antigen (HBeAg) and liver pathology were used as the main efficacy indicators to confirm that this plan could improve clinical efficacy and preliminarily clarify some immune mechanisms by which traditional Chinese medicine regulates CHB. (1) Based on the pathological characteristics and immunological staging of CHB, Establish a mild CHB TCM and Western medicine treatment plan: Collect 515 cases of mild CHB patients for liver biopsy pathology examination, among which 431 cases (83.69%) had inflammation grading ≥G2 and 289 cases (56.12%) had fibrosis staging ≥S2, and most patients had a state of immune tolerance. Based on this, establish a TCM and Western medicine combined treatment plan for inflammation grading ≥G2 and a TCM treatment plan for inflammation grading
