On January 23, “Expert Seminaron Key Work of Green Technology Bank in 2019” washeld in No. 6 Conference Room of Ji Mao Hotel. The “Centers” invited themembers and representatives of the Green Technology Bank Construction Leading Group, the members of the Leading Group Secretariat, and the liaison officersof the coordination group, and organized experts from Chinese Academy ofSciences, universities, research institutes, foundations, enterprises and otherrelated organizationsto jointly discuss the key work of Green Technology Bankin 2019. The meeting was chaired by Wang Zhen, Director of the “Centers”.

 After hearing theintroduction to the construction progresses of the Green Technology Bank aswell as the key emphasis of work in 2019, participating experts andrepresentatives raised several constructive opinions on and expressed theirwillingness for the joint promotion from the perspectives of marketization, the“Belt and Road” cooperation plan, the linkage of innovation demonstrationzones, the technical and financial integration, and the preparation of thesummit forum. Lastly, Chief ZhengGuanghong, and Deputy Chief Liu Chunhua of theSocial Development Division of Science and Technology Commission of ShanghaiMunicipalityrespectively summarized several aspects ofconstruction of the GreenTechnology Bank that requiring key planning for breakthrough in 2019, hoping togather more professional institutions toform a joint force for continuouspromotion and strive for better results in the new year.

 Recently, the CPC Central Committeeon Comprehensive Deepening of Reform has deliberated and approved the GuidingOpinions on Building a Market-oriented Green Technology Innovation System,proposing to strengthen the green leadership, and accelerate the constructionof a green technology innovation system with enterprises as the main body, deepindustry-university-research integration, perfect infrastructure and servicesystems, efficient resource allocation, and smooth achievementcommercialization.The No. 1 Document released by the Ministry of Science and Technology in 2019has made the active construction of the Green Technology Bank as the importantinitiative to accelerate the construction of the market-oriented greentechnology innovation system. The construction of the Green Technology Bank hasushered in a period of important strategic opportunities and the “Centers” willcontinue to carry out the promotion under the leadership of the Ministry ofScience and Technology and Science and Technology Commission of ShanghaiMunicipality.
