Focusing on turning desert, Gobi, saline-alkali land andother unused lands into farmland, Green Technology Bank has proposed a"sandy land reclamation"comprehensive desert governance plan based on the integration of leading desertgovernance technologies at home and abroad.

On 1,400 acres of sandy land inKashgar, Xinjiang Province, Green Technology Bank has taken the sandy landreclamation technology as a starting point and comprehensively demonstrated theapplication of excellent drought-resistant crop germplasm, mechanized farmingand harvesting technology, smart water-saving fertigation technology,ecological protection technology, ecological environment simulation technology,Internet of Things, AI data, satellites and various other innovativetechnologies to create an integrated demonstration project for sustainabledesert agriculture development, thus providing a typical case for transition tohigh-quality green agricultural development in desertified areas.

Taking into account the situation ofdesertification in the countries of Central and West Asia and the Middle East,we will further promote exchanges and cooperation on advanced technologies fordesertification agriculture with those countries and put forward a"Chinese Solution" for the sustainable development of greenagriculture.
