Aerogel is currently the best material for thermal insulation. With a thermal conductivity as low as 0.02 W/m.K, it is an idea candidate for high_performance thermal insulation, which could greatly contribute to reduce energy consumption for heating. Relying on the long experience of the project team in nanomaterials fabrication and microstructure modification, we are committed to solving the problems in fabrication and application of powder as one of the basic raw materials in the aerogel industry. We have made a breakthrough in the field of aerogel powder fabrication at low cost. To this end, we adopt a unique nano_level micro_modification process to fabricate superhydrophobic silica aerogel powder in the absence of high pressure and organic solvents. In addition, we mixed aerogel powders with other materials (including inorganic binders and inorganic fibers), and then used a unique nano_micro synthetic technology to make them into water_based thick paste coatings. Such coatings enjoy features such as low thermal conductivity, good heat insulation performance, high temperature resistance, water resistance, and fire resistance, among others. Such coatings can be applied by painting, spraying, and other methods and are suitable for flat surfaces and surfaces with various shapes.
