OnJuly 7^th, Eco Forum Global Annual Conference Guiyang 2018 opened inGuiyang. This forum was built 10 years ago, whichis the only internationalforum nationwide themed on eco-civilization. According to the requirements ofthe Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), Wang Zhen, the Director of the AdministrationCenter of GTB, was invited to take part in the subforum organized by theMinistry of Foreign Affairs and delivered a key note speech. Themed on “Implementing2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development andBuilding Synergies with the Green “Beltand Road”, the subforum was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,theChinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Ecology andEnvironment and the Development Research Center of the State Council.DaiBingguo, Former State Councilor and Chairman of the InternationalAdvisory Council, and ShenYiqin, Governor of Guizhouprovince, attended themeeting.

DirectorWang Zhen delivered a speech themed on “Constructing the Green Technology Bankand Promoting Green Sustainable Development”, focused on introducing theinnovative practices of “Integrating Green Technology with Green Finance” forimplementing 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and current progress andexplorations. He also invited common participation of all internationalcommunities and encouraged them to provide new ideas for achieving greendevelopment and enhancing global ecological governance. The speech gained highattention from all attendees. After the meeting, many internationalorganizations and friends came to communicate with us.

The final goal of the GTB construction isto implement the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, so as to providegreen technology supports for undeveloped countries. Just as the Vice PremierSun Chunlan emphasized at the address, China would further strengthen itsinternational cooperation in enhancing eco-civilization, proactively promotingthe implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and theconstruction of green “Belt and Road”, jointly safeguarding the achievementsmade by the Paris Agreement, and providing China’s wisdom and solutions tothedevelopment of global eco-civilization.
